In the Tunnel Theme......

Postby scottyea » Tue Sep 08, 2009 8:11 pm

JAWS is fantastic. & So is the Tunnel theme :D

I've customised my JAWS site up the extent of my abilities, but still I want to be able to do two more things:

1. Separate the blog posts from each other .

There is no line or space between the last line of a blog post ([author] | [date] | [category] | Comment on this) and the headline of the blog post below it. I want to put a space there to separate the blog posts from each other by leaving a line or two gap between them.

2. remove the hyperlinked JAWS banner from the bottom of the pages

I have banners at the bottom of the pages, but the hyperlinked invisible JAWS banner that comes with the tunnel theme is still active there. (see http://www.giriraj.com.au, scroll to the bottom of the page for example and hover over the centre of the banner, you'll see a little hyperlinked box. I replaced the image with a transparent gif, but the link remains...). I have one JAWS banner amongst my random banners instead. The little link that is always enbedded in my banners there needs to be removed.

If you can help me with these small problems, I will be very grateful. Thanks for looking.

1. Use return after your blogpost. Works when you use A friendly editor.

2. Go to /data/themes/tunnel and edit layout.html. Near the bottom you find <a href="http://www.jaws-project.com"><img src="{THEME}jawspowered.png" border="0" alt="Powered by Jaws" /></a>. Remove this.

Thanks Mate. Sorry if I didn't explain my issue properly. My issue is not with the content of the blog posts, but with the "Admin | 09 September 2009 | Sadhu-sanga | Comment on this" links that always appears under the body of the blog post itself, and has no linebreak between it and the headline of the following post....
as far as i can understand that would most likely be a function of the theme/blog gadget rather than the editor.... i tried using return....

Edit file /gadgets/Blog/templates/Entry.html
Find sentence <span class="entry-comments-statistic"><a>{text_comments}</a></span></p></div>
After </p> write <br/> so the sentence is like <span class="entry-comments-statistic"><a>{text_comments}</a></span></p><br/></div> :)

mines slightly different:

<!-- BEGIN entry -->
<div class="gadget blog_entry">
<h2><a href="{permanent-link}" title="{title}" rel="bookmark">{title}</a></h2>
<div class="content">{text}</div>
<div class="entry-meta">
<span class="entry-author vcard author"><a href="{author-url}" class="fn url">{name}</a></span>
<span class="separator">|</span>
<span class="entry-date"><abbr class="published" title="{createtime-iso}">{createtime}</abbr></span>
<span class="separator">|</span>
<span class="entry-category"><!-- BEGIN category --><a href="{url}" rel="category tag">{name}</a>{separator} <!-- END category --></span>
<!-- BEGIN comment-link -->
<span class="separator">|</span>
<span class="entry-comment-link"><a href="{url}">{text_comments}</a></span>
<!-- END comment-link -->
<!-- BEGIN comments-statistic -->
<span class="separator">|</span>
<span class="entry-comments-statistic"><a>{text_comments}</a></span><br><br><br><br>
<!-- END comments-statistic -->
</div>
</div>
<!-- END entry -->

I added 3 <br>s after the "<span class="entry-comments-statistic"><a>{text_comments}</a></span>" but no change ont eh site.....

This is my file. I see tha t you need to add <p> after <div class="entry-meta"> and </p> after <span class="entry-comments-statistic"><a>{text_comments}</a></span>

Sorry can't help you further. It's working on my testserver. http://www.freding.no/index.php/blog.html

You can try to rename Entry.html to Entry1.html and make a new Entry.html file where you copy my content. If it doesn't work delete Entry.html and rename Entry1.html back to Entry.html
